With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Palmer popped up in the 90th minute to score a dramatic late winner for Chelsea. It was a cruel blow for City, but Chelsea's performance was deserving of at least a point.

"We're disappointed not to have won, but we showed great character to come back from behind three times," said City manager Pep Guardiola. "Chelsea are a top team, and they made us work hard for everything we got. We'll keep pushing and see where we end up at the end of the season."
